McClure Pit Campground

Located alongside Francois Lake, this recreation site features 6 camping sites, a day-use area, and a beach. The camping areas are perfect for your next weekend getaway and there is a chance to find agate, jasper, obsidian, chalcedony, quartz, calcite, and petrified wood on this beach!

Directions: Take Highway 35 south from Burns Lake for approximately 22 km. Once you reach Francois Lake, travel west along Francois Lake Road fro 8.3 km until you reach McClure Pit Recreation Site.
