Takysie Lake Resort

Accommodation: Motels & Inns, Resorts & Lodges

Your Hosts: David Gruen and Rise’ Johansen
This is where you want to relax…listen to the call of the loons and watch the ospreys soar overhead. Tour the lake in one of our aluminum boats to view an eagle’s nest or catch your own next meal. Our lakeside resort is secluded with a peaceful tranquility that’s difficult to find. We have it all – full suites, lakeside cabins, RV/tent-sites, sani dump station, guest docks, boat launch, as well as docking for floatplanes. You can also find a restaurant and store on-site where you can enjoy delicious home-cooked meals and stock up on supplies.
Takysie Lake Resort’s motel consists of fully contained suites, each with separate bedroom, living area, full bath, fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV, and separate entrances with large foyers.
We have 10 cabins, all distinctly different in design and capacity, but all are either lakeside or have a spectacular view. All cabins have cooking facilities, basic equipped kitchens, refrigerators, picnic tables, fire pits, and cold running water. All cabins require that you bring your own bedding. The cabins have some or all of the following:
Separate bedrooms
Living area
Kitchens
Electricity
Cold running water
Propane cook stoves
Woodstoves
Large screened-in porch
Open deck and private picnic areas

Get Active with Our Recreational Facilities

There are plenty of activities to keep your family and friends active at Takysie Lake Resort. These include volleyball, badminton, playfield, and a swinging and slide area for the kids. Play bocce ball or croquet on the grounds, hold a horseshoe tournament, take a bicycling tour, hike down the lake, rent a canoe or motorboat and go fishing or photographing…and anything else that you can dream up.

Rent our big party raft and spend the whole day on the lake and then spend the next day smoking your catch! There are also outlying areas to explore. Take a drive to Skins Lake Dam, Cheslatta Falls, or pick up a map from the store and take a circle tour past Ootsa Lake and around the head of Francois Lake. There is much to see and take in, fish to catch (and release if you like), wildlife to photograph, and breathtaking scenery to enjoy. And, at the end of the day, relax by your fire and take in the sunset and twilight hours of Takysie Lake.

You have everything you need right here at Takysie Lake Resort. Get a map of our location for easier travel or stop by the store to stock up on bait and tackle for your big fishing day.
