Nadina Lake Lodge

Accommodation: Resorts & Lodges

Your Hosts: Brady and Wendy Thompson
Outdoors lovers Brad and Wendy Thompson have owned and operated the Nadina Lake Lodge since 1998, but it has been around since 1958 when it was started by an uncle. After his passing, the couple took over and made numerous improvements to the lodge in an effort to revive it, recognizing that the lake with its unprecedented rainbow trout population was a true ecological gem. Besides the breathtaking natural surroundings, the Thompson’s love what they do because of “the challenges of self-employment and the many benefits this has to offer.” Adds Brad, “To have the opportunity to provide a service that is unique to our personal touches and maybe just a little different than our competition” is something that motivates them to keep improving their business.

The Thompson’s note that running a business of any kind is challenging in a small town where businesses are interdependent on one another for their own success. However, they have seen many improvements, both large and small, on the Burns Lake business front and are hopeful that this will help to sustain and grow the local economy
