Join us annually on the first Sunday after Father’s Day in June for the Burns Lake Show & Shine, a celebration of all makes and models. The event takes place at Spirit Square in Burns Lake and is free for all spectators, with only a small fee for participants. After the show, the cars take part in a poker run, followed by a free barbecue for all drivers to enjoy!

There’s something about old cars that just captures the imagination. Maybe it’s the way they look, with their sleek lines and classic curves. Or maybe it’s the sense of history that they carry with them, a reminder of a bygone era when things were simpler and life moved at a slower pace.

One place where you can really appreciate the beauty of these old cars is at a show and shine. These events bring together car enthusiasts from all over, each one showing off their prized possession in the hopes of winning a coveted prize or simply sharing their love of classic automobiles with like-minded individuals.

As you walk amongst the rows of gleaming paint jobs and polished chrome, you can’t help but be struck by the sheer variety of cars on display. From muscle cars to hot rods, from vintage roadsters to classic cruisers, there’s something here for everyone. And as you chat with the owners, you begin to understand just how much passion and hard work goes into restoring and maintaining these time-honored machines.

But it’s not just about the cars themselves – it’s also about the community that forms around them. At a show and shine, you’ll find people from all walks of life, united by their love of classic cars and the stories they have to tell. And as you spend time among these enthusiasts, you begin to realize that the true beauty of these old cars lies not just in their appearance, but in the memories and experiences they represent.
